A relação entre presentismo e motivação

Abstract

O presente trabalho teve como objectivo investigar a relação entre a motivação e o presentismo. Para tal, foram utilizadas as escalas multi-factorial de motivação no trabalho e presentismo SPS-6, além de explorar possíveis diferenças face às variáveis de caracterização. A amostra foi composta por 111 indivíduos (52,3% do sexo feminino e 47,7% do sexo masculino), com idades compreendidas entre os 19 e os 70 anos. Foi utilizado um questionário que incluiu as duas escalas referidas e outras perguntas de caracterização da amostra. Os questionários foram recolhidos em três empresas: uma no sector das telecomunicações, outra no sector alimentar e a terceira no sector da saúde. Os resultados mostraram que não há relação entre motivação e presentismo.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between motivation and presenteeism. With that purpose, we used the multi-factorial scales of motivation at work and presenteeism SPS-6, and explore possible differences in the descriptive variables. The sample was composed by 111 individuals (52.3% female and 47.7% male), aged 19 to 70 years. We used a questionnaire in this study that included the two scales previously mentioned and other sample characterization questions. The questionnaires were collected in three companies: one in the telecommunications sector, other in the food sector and the third in the health sector. The results showed no relationship between motivation and presenteeism.
